Hot House Painting Colors For 2014As 2013 moves closer to its conclusion, this gives us a chance to look forward into 2014 to take a peek at the painting industry's 2014 color trend forecast, as well as the big paint companies' announcements of their house painting colors of the year.  And while there doesn't necessarily seem to be a consensus among the experts as to any particular color palette that they expect to be the most popular for the coming year, it's always fun to see which schemes are gaining popularity when it's time to freshen-up the look of our homes -- inside or out.

The Color Trends 2014 Palette - "We've detected a 'lighter touch', hints, whispers, tints of color. Shifts to pastels without looking too 'candy', too 'Easter egg' which is an exciting message for us, a color company. We've begun to see a shift away from gray to tints of blues, greens, lavenders and pinks. Pastels, softened and filtered, to lift the spirit but not shout too loud... colors that can make a room happy, flatter your possessions and your art. We call these the new neutrals."

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter which colors the painting industry predicts will be trending for 2014.  All that really matters is that you're happy with your color choice.
