Residential Painting Services for Every Part of Your Home

Your home has different spaces, surfaces, and finishes, and each one needs the right prep work, products, and application process. ImageWorks Painting helps Pittsburgh-area homeowners update individual rooms, high-use living spaces, specialty surfaces, and full-home interiors with professional painting services built around how you actually use your home.

Kitchen Painting

The kitchen is one of the most visible and heavily used rooms in your home, so paint quality and surface preparation matter. Our team can refresh kitchen walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and adjoining dining areas with clean lines and durable finishes. If your kitchen needs more than a wall color update, we also offer cabinet painting and refinishing to help transform the space without a full remodel.

Basement Painting

Whether your basement is finished, partially finished, or being turned into a family room, game room, office, gym, or guest space, fresh paint can make it feel more complete and comfortable. ImageWorks Painting can help with basement walls, ceilings, stairways, doors, trim, built-ins, and other painted surfaces that need a cleaner, more polished look.

Trim, Doors, Built-Ins, and Stairways

Small details can make a major difference in how a room feels finished. Our residential painting experts can repaint baseboards, crown molding, window trim, doors, railings, mantels, built-ins, and stairway features to help sharpen the look of your home and tie the room together.

Living Rooms, Bedrooms, and Hallways

From main living areas to bedrooms, hallways, stairwells, and open-concept spaces, our interior house painting services are designed to make the process easier from start to finish. We handle the details that affect the final result, including wall prep, color transitions, ceiling lines, trim edges, and hard-to-reach areas.

Exterior Touch-Ups and Outdoor Living Areas

Residential painting does not stop at the interior. We also help homeowners improve curb appeal and protect outdoor surfaces with exterior house painting, trim painting, siding painting, and related exterior services. For outdoor living spaces, we also provide deck staining to help preserve and refresh wood surfaces exposed to Western Pennsylvania weather.

Whether you are updating one room, refinishing cabinets, repainting a basement, or planning a larger interior and exterior project, ImageWorks Painting can help you choose the right approach for your home.

Frequently asked questions

Got a question? We’ve got an answer.
Explore our FAQs to find answers to common questions about our services.

Who do I call for house painting in Pittsburgh?
For residential interior and exterior house painting in the Greater Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania area, call ImageWorks Painting at (724) 898-2446. We're a family-owned painting company with 20+ years of local experience and an Angie's List Super Service Award winner, handling everything from a single room to full-home interior and exterior repaints, plus deck staining, cabinet refinishing, and more.
What sheen for exterior paint
Sheen is a matter of individual preference. Most people choose a satin sheen for exterior surfaces in good condition, but may choose flat for rougher condition surfaces to help hide the imperfections. Gloss is normally not used or limited to front doors or specialty items.
Does lighting affect how well light paint covers dark walls?
Yes. Rooms with strong natural light can make minor streaks or uneven coverage more noticeable. Testing a small painted section first helps confirm the color and coverage before completing the entire wall.
Should you paint the ceiling when changing dark walls to light colors?
Sometimes it helps. If the ceiling color contrasts heavily with the new wall color, repainting it with a fresh coat of white can make the entire room feel brighter and more cohesive.
What should I expect during the consultation?
Our estimators are highly-experienced and trained to guide you through the process step-by-step. A typical consultation will take about 30 minutes to complete. When your estimator comes to meet with you, they will walk the project with you to gather all of the information necessary to prepare your proposal. They will listen to your concerns, discuss your options, and offer suggestions that will help you to create your perfect painting project. Once we’ve clarified all of the details of your project, your estimator will prepare and review your proposal with you that outlines all of the services to be performed, along with the price for your project that's backed by our written iron-clad price guarantee; often times before they even leave your home.
Should I paint or stain my deck
Wood decks are typically finished with either a semi-transparent stain, semi-translucent stain, or solid color stain. People often confuse solid color stain with paint, as both fully cover the wood's natural color. However, stain penetrates the wood more deeply than paint and, especially with the first few coats, still allows the texture of the wood grain to show through.
What interior signs should I not ignore?
Watch for stains that keep returning, peeling paint, or persistent odors. These may point to moisture or ventilation issues.
